Let me introduce myself. My name is Mark Geenen, and I have over twenty-five years experience in the hospitality industry, encompassing everything from start-up operations to senior management.
Over the years I have furthered my education in this industry, and obtained my Commercial Real Estate Licence. I have overseen the day -to-day operations of several chains of restaurants, developed expansion plans, lease negotiations, and developed operations manuals and systems. I have negotiated contracts for rebate programs and implemented new back office reporting systems to ensure the integrity of several businesses.
I was involved in opening the first Dave and Buster’s in Canada. This 65,000 square foot restaurant and entertainment complex is licensed for 2500 guests. I had an integral part in the design and layout of the facility and oversaw the training of twenty-three managers and three hundred and fifty service staff.
I have been an owner/operator of my own consulting company providing restaurant consulting to a variety of companies. This has included lease negotiations, implementation of systems and training, development of full operations manuals and training guidelines.
